DeSoto Pack 789

Cub Scouts

Pack 789 DeSoto, Texas

Welcome to Pack 789. This is a new web site that we are trying to get started to help with our unit and the relay of information within our Pack. We want to be able to keep everyone within the Pack up-to-date on all events and news. This web site is also a work in progress so have patience with us in getting this up and running. Posting this right up front. I would like to thank Jennine Lunceford for stepping into the role as our new Tiger Den Leader and also to Vanessa Slade for stepping into our Wolf Den Leader position. We are very honored to have them as a part of our group. My apologies to these ladies for not updating the web site long before now.

Meetings

Meetings are held every Monday at the DeSoto Presbyterian Church. Tigers meet from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 and all other dens meet from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Schedule is subject to change depending on holidays or special events. Pack meetings are usually the last Monday of the month and are normally held at the Ruby Young cafeteria, at Ruby Young Elementary School.

Photo Gallery

Take a look at our "new" photo gallery section. The present feature are pictures of last year's awesome Pinewood Derby Cars. We all had a blast ( and even the boys had a lot of fun!!!). There are also pictures of the Space Derby and of the Bears in action. And now there are pictures of our Conservation Project and our trip to Corpus  to spend the night on the U.S.S. Lexington.

New Health Req.

There are new health requirements this year.all boys have to have a health record on file, which is standard, HOWEVER, for ANY adult that goes on ANY Scout activity that will last over 72 hours must have a complete physical done. Once you get the physical recorded and signed by a doctor, make a copy and give it to Mr. Camp or Mr. Attaway to put on file. This physical lasts for one year on file. Hint: Care Now does Physicals for $13.00. Remember to give us a copy so we can put it on file for you.
