Mar 21 Boarding the Lexington in Corpus Christi!!!!!! Can't say enough!!!! Lexington was fantastic!!! I think everyone had a great time! The food was even fairly good!!! Remember anyone with pictures get me (Wes Attaway) copies so we can make a video for everyone.
Oct 17 & 18, we have a field trip to Ft. Hood, Texas ( South of Waco). We will be getting a tour of the Armor vehicles the military uses such as M1A1 Battle Tanks (what I did in the service!!!) and Bradley Armor Carriers and they may even bring out a few Apache Jetcopters. My contacts are now saying the ball is rolling and they are getting a Unit to sponsor us while we are there. I have also been informed that everyone will need SLEEPING BAGS. This has turned out to be an overniter on Post. The Unit to sponsor us will be getting in touch with me and working out details.Well our Ft.Hood trip has unfortunately come to a close. We hope that everyone had a great time! Lots to see and lots to do. I do know for a fact that our coordinators even had a great time with us. They wanted me to say "Thank you" to everyone that came out to visit with them. They deffinately want us to come out again and they will have even more things planned for us to do and see. We will be getting together to make sure and send them something special from our Pack.If you wish to see some of them pictures goto the photo album on this link. Oct. 19 is Myles White's birthday. Everyone wish him a happy one!!!!
Oct. 19 is also when our popcorn orders will be due to Mrs. Attaway or Mrs. Dillard.
Oct. 24th-25th is Dad N Lad, Mom N Me at Camp Wisdom.
Oct. 26 will be our monthly Pack meeting at Ruby Young. This Pack "meeting" is our Fall Festival. We will need parents to bring small activity type games for the boys to play. They are allowed to dress in costumes as are siblings and PARENTS. Time starts at 6:30 p.m. and please bring one bag of candy per scout. The boys had a great time! Awsome costumes boys andd parents. We hope that everyone had a good time.

Nov. 4 God and Family Award Cost is $20.00 includes workbook, medallion, certificate, supplies, and party. For boys in 4th and 5th grades ONLY. Location is Grace Place from 7 p.m.- 8 p.m. Course dates are Nov.4, 11, 18 and Dec. 2, 9, 16.
Nov. 9th Space Derby Kits will go on sale tonight at our den meetings.The cost is $8.00 per kit. Please get with Melissa Attaway to order the kits.

Nov. 14th Mr. Camp will be having a Space Derby workshop at his barn for anyone needing or wanting help with the kits. The time will be 2 p.m. at 1645 Beltline in Cedar Hill. He will have tools you can use and even some advise on how to make them. I did not make it to the workshop but Mr. Camp said that that several of the boys were able to shape their rockets and we should have some very unique crafts and some very good racing on Nov. 30th. remember that we still have kits available through Mrs. Attaway for $8.00.
Nov. 14th Mr. Camp is having a fish fry at about 4 p.m. at the same location as above. The fish are being provided by one of our parents and most untensels, plates and cups will be provided. Please bring some sort of a side dish or dessert. The fish fry was great! Very tasty thanks to everyone for helping out and a " Special Thank You" goes out to Mr. Ragland for the fish and to Mr. Camp for being the awsome cook that he is!!!!
Nov 14th We will be having a Bobcat ceremony for all our new boys that have earned the rank. This is also at the same location after the fish fry, at about 6 p.m. Please make sure your boys attend for this ceremony. We will be having a campfire for the rank advancement as we try to do for honoring our boys. The ceremony was very moving and the boys and their parents know the advancement the boys made and the meaning behind it. If you still have not recieved your Bobcat Patch or the " Mother's Pin" please let Mrs. Attaway or myself know. Also take a look at the pictures that were posted of the Advancement Ceremony in the Photo section.
Nov. 16th Please make sure that your Cub Scout dues are turned in tonight at the den meetings. Please get with Melissa Attaway for dues payments or to find out if they are owed. These dues help us pay for ribbons, trophies things of that nature.
Nov. 19th Roundtable at Grace Place in Duncanville. Time starts at 7 p.m. to get updated information for our Cub Scouts within the district.
Nov. 23rd We have made arrangements for a tour of the DeSoto Police Station on Beltline.The time for this tour will be at 7 p.m so we need everyone wishing to take the tour to arrive around 6:30 p.m. Remember that this is a requirement for most of the boys. This was a very informative tour. I hope the boys and parents had a good time.
Nov. 30th At 6:30 p.m. is our annual Space Derby Races. This will be held at Ruby Young. Get ready to race boys!!!! Great race, guys and Audrey! Very cool looking space crafts. Everyone did an awsome job. I will put pictures up here as soon as Mr. Dillard gets them to me.
Dec. 4th Tonight we will be decorating the Cub scout Christmas float. We need a big turn out to make sure we get this trailer decorated. Please bring any decorations you would like to put on the float. Mr. and Mrs. Murray will be supplying a large generator to light up any decorations you chose to bring, as well. We will be meeting at the Ruby Young parking lot at about 6:30 p.m. so we can decorate by light this year!
Dec. 5th DeSoto Christmas Parade will be tonight. We have been invited to have a float in the parade so we have to get to decorating!! More details on this will be posted as we get it.
Dec. 17 Roundtable at Grace Place in Duncanville at 7 p.m.
SPECIAL NOTE: We have an opportunity to have a sleepover at American Airlines Center (the first ever done). We will need a headcount of everyone that wishes to attend. The date is Oct.30th 5:00 p.m. SO here is everything on the flyer: The cost is $45.00 per person and includes ticket to the Stars game, sleepover, skating, movie and a snack. You get a ticket to the game, ( they are playing the Florida Panthers), watch a movie on the HD Video Board, Watch how they change the area from hockey to basketball, tour the Press Box, picyures with Dallas Stars Ice Girls, sleepover and a commemorative T-shirt. Times are: 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m Arrive and check in. 7:30-10:00 Stars game. 11:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m Sleepover. 6:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m. Exit. The deadline for ordering will be three weeks prior to the game. So get with Mr. Attaway or Mr.Camp A.S.A.P. to let us know if you wish to go.
